Contents page drafts photoshop
Contents page draft one: continued
Using both images which I had edited, I had applied them to my page. I had changed my initial plans for my contents page plan and decided to follow a completely different arrangement, now looking back at hindsight at the development of my magazine so far.I had decided to layout my contents page in this format as it seemed appropriate for my genre of magazine. I constructed the layers through two Grey boxes, one in which I had placed the contents list and the other in which I put an edited image of the main model of the magazine. I had allocated the image with the model playing the piano above the contents banner. Whilst I was creating the page, I was heavily inspired by this classical magazine cover to the right,as the collage of pictures used as banner looked very suitable for a classical magazine. I had made the font of the writing look elegant so it would fit the image of an authentic magazine. Unfortunately it was difficult to replicate this look as I did not have as many images. Though the contents page looked fairly elegant and authentic, despite the unfinished product, I had little ideas to what I could create to fill in the huge blank spaces and I did not have many varied images.
Contents page Final draft
I had solved the problem of the void of filling my contents page with more text or images, by readjusting the format of the whole page. I had now made the image with the model and the piano a main banner head for the magazine by re sizing the image and placing it above everything else, thus signifying the grandeur of the magazine. I had deleted the gray text boxes, as despite the elegance it portrayed, it had been to rigid and constricting for me to actually create some content. I had still retained the contents heading, which was highlighted white in a maroon box beneath the huge main image. I had refined the list for the pages on the list and made it look more neater and presentable by making the subheadings under the main topic, to be of different font from the extra information made available. However, I felt as if I did not put as much content for the contents page so I had added some additional text at the end of the page in the same elegant font that has been mainly used in the page, in reference to a sub- heading in my front page, so as to fill the void of my page. I had situated my main model, which features on my double spread and front cover, right under the picture banner and near contents list. I had wanted to avoid using too many images as I did not want my page appear messy. If I could improve this, I would be more organised regarding my plans for a front cover and be more well prepared.
