My School newsletter and evaluation

Evaluation: In conclusion, I have attempted to follow all the criterias to create my front page, according to my survey, however I had not made the colours of Blue and green as consistively as the main theme in the front page. I had made my newsletter more colourful and distinctive in order to create a good representation of the school. I had tried to add more colours to make the cover stand out, but I feel in order to improve my front page better, I should have included more options in my survey, include less words in my newsletter so it appeals to mass audience and improve the masthead because it looks unexciting and attractive.

Contents page to my school newsletter and evaluation

Evaluation: I had created my contents page in accordance to my survey, I had applied the most popular colours of blue and green as dominant to my contents page. I had decided to apply an prizes and competition page in addition to school news and events, as I concluded from my survey that students want a more interacting newslettter. Including a prizes section would entice more readers, instead of parents and governers. I made the heading colour green and made the font bold as well as distinctive. For the page numbers and subheadings, I had made the background colour blue whilst have the words in white so it stands out. In conclusion I had attmepted to create a contents page page through my survey yet I feel that I could thoroughly improve it by surveying a wide variety of people and not limit my survey options.

Picture analysis of my school newsletter

I used this picture for my "Art competition" section in my newsletter. I used this photograph as it depicts a studious pupil painting creatively and showing their talent through their artwork. The student hoovers her head down to show that she is concentrating and is serious about her work. I used this student as a representation of the school, as I am trying to illustrate in my newsletter that the students of Plumstead Manor is expressive and studious.

I used this photograph for the "School Sports day" section in my newsletter. This picture is a relay race which shows a few students running on a huge running track in fast motion with a few speculators- students and teachers, watching in the background. I used this photograph as this illustrates the competitors as the main theme and suggests the impressiveness of the students athletic ability. This image indicates that the students of Plumstead manor are very active and fit, which suggests the students are healthy and productive. I used this picture for my newsletter as I am trying to portray the versatile nature of Plumstead Manor and how students thrives from this aspect.

I used this photograph under the school trips and events section. The picture shows a small group of students standing in front of parliment, suggesting that the students of plumstead manor are becoming more enriched with knowledge, becuase they are learning about the political system of the country and understanding how democracy works in Britain. This image indicates that this picture signifies the intelligence of the students as they are seen to be benefiting from this educational visit. I used this photograph as a representative of the school to show how sensible and well behaved the Plumstead Manor students are outside of school, this illustrates these pupils are showing a good example.
Overall, I used all these pictures to show the versatility and enrichment of Plumstead manor in my newsletter. I attempt to to show the school in a positive light through the photographs as it  portrays students achieving a variety of successes in different activites and subjects.
